The son of a North Carolina police chief is facing drug charges after being stopped by local police. The 29-year-old was driving in the early morning hours when he was stopped by an officer after his vehicle veered out of his lane of travel. Drug charges resulted from the traffic stop.

Man faces DWI charge after Wilmington crash

A man is facing criminal charges after allegedly driving his vehicle into a fountain. Wilmington police arrested the driver, suspecting him of DWI. He was traveling in a Suzuki with three other people when he hit the fountain. One person was injured in the crash and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

North Carolina car accident kills 2, injures 2 others

A North Carolina soldier is facing criminal charges after a racing accident led to the death of a fellow soldier and another man. The 21-year-old has been charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter and a single count of prearranged racing. Authorities believe that the car accident occurred while the two men were engaged in illegal car racing.

Wilmington man dies 2 days after car accident

Anytime a pedestrian or anyone on any type of smaller motorized vehicle is in an accident, the injuries can be far worse than if two regular cars or trucks were involved. A Wilmington man has finally succumbed to his injuries after being involved in a deadly accident. The car accident happened while the man was at Carolina Beach. He was on a motor scooter when he was struck by a car. The man was apparently transported to the hospital after the crash, but passed away two days later.

When people are entrusted to care for elderly family members and the elderly person ends up being harmed in some way, people can immediately begin to jump to conclusions about someone's guilt or innocence. It's easy to suspect those who are entrusted with their care, but the justice system is not about what is easy, it's about what is right and fair.

3 face drug charges in North Carolina fast food bust

New Hanover County police have arrested three people after allegedly catching them in a drug deal. The three were apprehended by police after an officer saw one of the men dealing drugs out of the back entrance of a local Chick-fil-a restaurant. Police allege the restaurant employee was dealing heroin from the restaurant. All three are now facing several drug charges.

North Carolina car accident kills pedestrian, injures another

Tragedy has again struck in North Carolina. Two pedestrians were hit by a car that veered off of the road. One died the following day, and the other sustained injuries. The car accident occurred one recent Friday night when the car struck the victims on a sidewalk, though how or why the car ended up on the sidewalk in the first place remains a mystery.
