North Carolina 6-vehicle accident on I-40 leaves one car in flames

When the weather is foul and roads are slick, motorists in North Carolina have a heightened duty to drive carefully. A slick surface can easily cause a car to lose control, which appears to be what happened in a six-vehicle accident along Interstate 40 recently. At least one person suffered injuries in the incident.

Drunk driver causes 2 separate accidents in Boone

A drunk driving accident can occur anytime a person is impaired and gets behind the wheel of a car. All drivers assume a reasonable duty of care for other people sharing the road. Making poor decisions and deciding to drive after the consumption of alcohol can result in severe consequences. A recent news story highlights the dangers of deciding to drive under impairment. An alleged North Carolina drunk driver caused two separate accidents on March 8, one which resulted in injuries.

North Carolina doctor facing DUI charge

In North Carolina, a person can be arrested for drunk driving even if his or her blood alcohol level is just above the legal limit. Moreover, a Breathalyzer or field sobriety test does not necessarily offer absolute evidence, and a mere allegation of drunk driving is just that: an allegation. That may be worth keeping in mind with regards to a story that appeared in the news recently about a doctor who is facing a DUI charge.

Drug charges: teacher resigns after arrest in Wilmington

As some people in the Wilmington area know, drug charges can arise out of many different circumstances. Often they come when a person is least expecting them, such as in a traffic stop. Personal injury: driver runs red light, causes 3-car accident

Getting behind the wheel of a car is a huge responsibility. Still, for some reason, driving becomes one of those daily habits that is often taken for granted, and it's very easy to forget how dangerous driving can be. This is especially true when the distractions of everyday life take over -- as they often do during an early morning commute. A recent car accident in Wilmington, North Carolina, resulted in serious injury, and is a stark reminder that operating a motor vehicle should never be taken lightly.

3 men wanted for use of weapon in Wilmington robbery

Sometimes, an individual's circumstances can lead him or her to make choices that are outside the norm. Adrenaline, fear and stress can impact decision-making skills in such a way that can lead to a course of action that may later be considered questionable. Currently, police in Wilmington, North Carolina, are searching for three men -- wanted in the armed robbery of a cab driver -- who may have found themselves in such a situation.

Unfortunately, personal injury and wrongful death can occur in single-vehicle accidents as well.
