When a young woman enters a bus stop area to get on an approaching school bus, other drivers in the area should probably be operating with a degree of heightened carefulness. But in this case a 14-year-old North Carolina girl stepped onto the road at a school bus stop to await an approaching school bus. Instead, she was struck and killed in a car accident.
Any drunk driver is a hazard to others on North Carolina roads. An alleged drunk driver is accused of causing a deadly pedestrian accident recently in Charlotte, North Carolina. The accident occurred shortly before 4 a.m. on Dec. 7 when a pedestrian was out walking his dog. He was attempting to cross the road at an intersection when he was hit by a vehicle.
