Multiple cars hit by school bus in North Carolina

On Behalf of | May 27, 2011 | Car Accidents |

Car accidents can often occur out of nowhere, even when you are following traffic laws. A pleasant drive on a sunny Sunday afternoon can turn into a catastrophic nightmare. Such a sudden change can be both bewildering and exasperating. This was precisely the experience of several drivers yesterday at a Raleigh, North Carolina, intersection when they were involved in a serious car accident with a school bus.

A few drivers were operating their vehicles normally when a school bus apparently lost control and hit the first car of the group. It subsequently hit several other cars, causing substantial damage. One of the cars was pushed into a tree by the force of the school bus. Luckily, no one was fatally wounded in the crash.

However, a few people were injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. It was reported that one of the vehicles contained a child. The first driver hit by the school bus expressed frustration that he was hit while obeying traffic laws. The cause of the accident is not clear at this time, but at least three cars were hit by the school bus.

Many people are often faced with a similar experience when involved in a sudden car accident. For drivers who have obeyed North Carolina traffic laws but have sustained injury and property damage, being involved in a crash can be not only frustrating, but also very frightening. However, if an accident was caused by another driver’s negligence, there may be ways to obtain compensation for injuries sustained or damage caused to the vehicle.
